I am fortunate to have an original Super 80.
It was in a very rough state when I got it. it had a few quirky modifications, and was generally in poor-to-average condition. Unfortunately virtually all ICs are soldered in (including the RAM and ROM chips) and all external wiring was directly connected to the PCB without removable connectors.
It is fitted with the Dick Smith “Super Character Generator”. It also incorporates Technical Bulletin 53 (to fix the problem of random “@” characters on screen).
The screen shows that the ROM version is 2.2, and the BASIC version is 1.2B.
I have been working on rehabilitating this Super 80.
The good news is that it works (except for the keyboard, which needs work).
Below are pictures of the main PCB and keyboard (as at 8 march 2018).
