Wells Gardner K7000 Monitor Chassis

This page has my notes on the Wells Gardner K7000 Monitor Chassis, which I have 2 of.

Here is a good guide to identify different WG chassis -> How to tell the difference between u2000, u5000, k7400 and k7500 monitor chassis. This page also has some good information about the K7000, including links to other resources -> Help identifying Wells Gardner Chassis’ss’s

That first link makes clear that both of mine are K7000 models (not K7400 or K7500), because of the distinctive power resistor hanging off the aluminium frame. Both of mine came with 63cm (25 inch) CRTs.

Unit 2 – S/N 986798

This was picked up on Facebook (as a freebie) in October 2025. It was in original (but filthy) condition, with matching serial numbers on the main PCB, CRT and mounting frame. The tube appears to have virtually no visible burn-in. The tube model number is RCA A63ADT10X05.

It has a satellite board that houses most (but not all) of the video controls.

The above photos show its condition after a thorough clean, including putting the PCBs through the dish washer and then being thoroughly dried with compressed air.

I can’t see many distinctive markings on the main PCB, except for “P538″and “”0216-001E”on the silk screen, and “5357P-007″on the bottom copper layer.
